Technical Support Representative
Days: Weekdays and Weekends
Shifts: First (9 am to 6 pm) or Third (1 am to 10 am)
Hours: Full-time or Part-time

Smart Team Networks Sdn Bhd, a Web hosting company, is seeking Technical Support Representatives to respond to phone calls and emails from customers around the world. Following a two-week training course, you will work with our customers each day to help identify the source of their problems and offer complete and accurate solutions. You will need to work in a fast-paced environment where customer issues and team priorities are constantly changing.

Description:
  • Answer phone calls and emails from customers.
  • Identify customer questions and offer complete and accurate answers.
  • Understand customer problems and provide proactive solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:
  • Outstanding customer service skills with user-level UNIX/NT/Windows 2000 skills.
  • Familiarity with Internet applications.
  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting tools including FTP, telnet, FrontPage and email protocols required.
  • Strong initiative, team player, and good oral and written communications skills.
  • Enthusiasm about the Internet a must.

Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of technical support experience
  • BA/BS from an accredited University
  • Strong writing, and verbal communication skills

The mission of the Senior Technical Support Representative is to provide exceptional service to Dedicated/Co-location Server customers. Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative support to CEO of Smart Team Networks Sdn Bhd.

  • Prepare extensive domestic and international travel arrangements including air, hotel and transportation.

Key Account Manager
Smart Team, a Web hosting company with over 1,000 customers, is currently seeking a Key Account Manager for our Smart Team operation based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing all existing relationships with our Dedicated Server customers. In this role, you are responsible for facilitating issue resolution and uncovering revenue-generating opportunities from the existing customer database. The individual selected will be aggressive, energetic, possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and has a burning desire to exceed. This position is ideal for a candidate with an Inside Sales and/or Customer Service background, interested in enhancing their sales skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Employ solution-selling techniques to identify business needs and develop customized solutions to solve client business problems
  • Identify and report any trends in the hosting industry
  • Solve problems by gathering information and evaluating options
  • Develop selling strategies and account planning for existing customer base
  • Manage the overall day-to-day Client relationship, including oral and written communications
  • Responsible for customer retention
  • Upsell new products/services to existing customers.
  • Solicit customer renewals on existing contracts

Qualifications:
  • Outstanding communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills

Senior Windows Administrator

Smart Team Networks Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Windows Administrator for its Engineering Services Team, located in Kuala Lumpur.  Smart Team maintains one of the largest networks of windows servers in the industry. 

The applicant will be involved in the design, installation, and maintainence of Windows 2000 and 2003 Server technology for web hosting services. Core tasks will be the management of IIS services in a high density server environment, administration of SQL Server systems,
perform system backups, upgrades, and performance tuning.  Successful candidates should have experience with large-scale deployments of Windows 2000/2003 in a server environment.  Note, experience limited to desktop support is not adequate for this position.

Required skills:

  • BS in Computer Science, IT management or equivalent field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications expected as well as commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Minimum four years of experience in management of Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003 based operating systems.
  • The ability to design and maintain large windows installations in a 24x7 production environment.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of Windows and TCP/IP security.
  • Must understand Active Directory and Active Directory Services Interface (ADSI).
  • Skilled in IIS, ASP, VB Scripting, TCP/IP and integration with Unix systems.

Desirable skills:
  • Linux and/or Unix usage and administration experience.
  • Network hardware familiarity (Cisco, Foundry, Juniper switches and routers), including IOS.
  • Capacity planning and datacenter management experience.
  • Understanding and planning for rapid growth and trouble free expansion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers in remote offices.
